Huh, I was under the impression you had to be in relatively good shape to be a police officer. Learn something new everyday.

Even fat ones are in better shape than most people. At one point they had to be in shape early on in their career. Plus the muscle memory of foot pursuit and adrenaline kick in

I talk back to a police officer all the time when they pull me over (which happens rarely). I told a police officer after he unlawfully gave me a ticket "I'll see you in court" and I beat the case. I'm not an expert on what is constitutional and what is unconstitutional, but you just can't let cops do what they want to you. If a cop pulls you over unjustly or you feel like the fines imposed on you violates the 8th amendment, fight it in court.

US cops today especially compared to other countries are just tyrannical.

They are straight-up rude in many places in the US as well. Just totally unprofessional when talking to people they've pulled over for very minor traffic infractions.

One time I was passing a semi truck on the interstate during a curve. To be safe, I went a little further to the left and just a tad over the line so that I was plenty away from the semi...cop pulls me over for it. He was actually nice, but still...it's like "do you not see why I went over the line? It's called SAFETY!"...you'd think they could just let shit like that slide, but nope...I could tell he wanted to stick his nose into my car and sniff around. But obviously he didn't find anything.

Then there was the time a cop asked me repeatedly if I was a drug addict. WTF? He didn't even ticket me for anything...
