Honestly, I think he gets a little more shit than he deserves. He does talk his games up too much, but he's nowhere near on the level of Peter Molyneux.

I imagine he's one of those people who peaked early and there's no mistaking the fact that he's an influential figure.

But he knew what he was doing years ago, with dated technology. Time may have moved passed him, and the changing game development landscape may just be beyond his grasp, which you can see as each new Bethesda title feels increasingly last-gen.

Or maybe he's financially or contractually obligated to just push out shit, and he's lost his drive in the process?

Whatever it is, he's certainly not doing what he used to.
