I'm so proud of her, she actually listens to us... well, it took a month because she kept spraying us with the fire extinguisher constantly... still better than online teammates.

^ ha, you have to get through 6-8 years of actual children first before you reach that stage ;)

I recommend A Hat in Time or Mario Galaxy for youngers: they won't get in your way.

I also recommend to have them watch or play Abzu, and have them tell you what is going on, letting them make up the story.

Co-op games like Overcooked or Trine will be a lesson in frustration: like convincing a flat earther the world is round kind of frustration. You need the patience of Mr. Rogers.

Gotta love couch co-op, I am so glad so many devs have couch co-op for PC games.

My son is 3 and it's hard trying to find a game where the level of difficulty doesn't affect his confidence. I've started with snes games to make navigation a bit easier but those games can be tricky and I can tell he doesn't like dying over ans over.

I just bought a ps4 for Christmas and I got him a paw patrol game so hopefully it's easy enough for him to enjoy.

^ you don't hear it as its nothing special to write about. At least as a parent, you don't really care about sharing those moments :) But overcooked is an exception, as I'm sure people have probably gotten into fistfights over failing miserably.

Careful about a hat in time. The main mode is relaxing enough for youngsters but death wish is definitely not lol

The deep sea one right? Yeah, that's the hardest one in the game. The rifts that are locked behind the frame perfection death wish levels aren't as hard as that one (though the death wish time rifts are surprisingly relaxing).
... And there's a death wish for the deep sea one though which puts you on a very strict time limit and is one of the hardest missions in the game.

Overcooked is pretty fun, I've played through some of it with my friends.

Also I've been using Peace and Tranquility pretty liberally throughout Death Wish mode >_>
