To the surprise of no one, I guess.

I get that it is a beta, but I can already tell there are a bunch of stupid glitches that are never going to get fixed.

Then there is the economy. It's kind of funny to look at how GTA Online was when it first started out and what it finally became. You were able to at least afford shit in GTA Online in the beginning because, of course, you didn't have *that* much money and there were no shark cards in place yet.

RD Online? Hell no, we're seeing current GTA Online pricing structure to clothing, horses and weapons. So basically, nobody can afford shit because mission payouts are so ridiculously low. So I have no desire to play this game at all.

And to top it all off? Since it's in beta, they're not even allowing people to buy "gold" or whatever.

Thank god the single player was excellent, I guess.

Yeah, I'm not really enjoying it at all.

GTA Online, for all it's problems, continuously felt like it "built up" to everything. As long as you kept playing, you'd earn enough to just get by with every update. You wouldn't be able to buy everything, but you'd at least be able to get what you needed to keep up.

This game makes me feel like I'm fucked from the start. Regular ass shirts cost two gold, and according to IGN, each gold bar takes over 8 hours to grind.

I'm also pretty pissed off because my character model keeps changing for some reason. It's like the game won't delete the first character I made which I screwed up, so for some reason I randomly change into that character.

Edit: I also don't know how I feel about Dead Eye perks being something you buy.

Eh, I finally got on.

The prices are kind of bad, but everything is also locked behind ranks so it's not like you'd be able to buy the shit anyways if they did do generous payouts.

I'm guessing that as long as you play regularly and don't blow your money on clothing, you'll probably have enough to get whatever weapons you want on ranking up and stuff.

Probably why the prices are the way they are. I'm sure you'll eventually be able to buy cabins and plots of land for insane prices. Maybe they'll go full harvest moon and make you able to farm or become a railroad baron buying trains and protect your cargo from other players. All of which will be locked behind an paywall that will take an exorbitant amount of time to grind to incentivize you to pay for gold

Lol. When you think about it they are pretty limited since it's the west so there's only so much they can add unless they ditch the realism aspect. Brothels bars rail roads and "settling" it are all you really have to work with. I suppose R* could make it to where you can create you own town somehow

now since i need to break it down further since you aren't intellectually capable of understanding the problem:

the problem is not that one "can not afford hats". The problem is that you MUST invest more time for small customization options/whatever else you can buy in online, or you can pay real money.

The problem is that, seemingly already, people can see that everything is designed around either playing for hours of your life or spending real money.

I just noticed today that some items *require* you to use real world money. They won't let you buy them with in game money.

15 minute missions pay you around 3 dollars

You can only loot around 10 cents off of every other dead body

You have to pay a dollar or so a day for "horse upkeep"

And that's just the shit I've noticed so far.

Like, I've only played maybe 2 hours, and right away I'm like "I'd just rather play single player again."

I could see the game being fun with friends if they end up adding more content, but there's no reason for me to get invested in the game.

Apparently the money maker in this game is hunting.

Game meat and pelts sell similar to what they do in single player, which you know...50 cents to a dollar for game meat and pelts doesn't *seem* like much, but it ends up being a big money maker when done alongside missions and such.
