Apparently my wife is quitting the show because she wanted the walkers to evolve. I agree but I'll stick it out especially with the Rick movies. Gotta see what's going on over there.

I haven't watched since uh, right before they dealt with negan. I sorta kept an eye on it, but after they dropped carl I basically lost interest completely.

The better story line would've been for them all to realize they were cutting down Walkers who had a semblance of consciousness than to start another group on group battle. Give us something different.

I'm glad they're just humans in walker skin. Conscious walkers just sounds like a hilarious gimmick. I haven't read the source material but I feel like this might be one of the toughest villains yet. Apparently the leader is being played by the guy who was Opie in Sons of Anarchy, so that's neat.

I'm actually enjoying this season so far, much more than the previous ones revolving around the god damn Saviors. The midseason finale was almost like a classic zombie/horror film.

The whisperers are badass. At one point it looked like they were going to tie Fear the walking dead in with the whisperers and introduce that into the main series but obviously that wasn't the case. Afaik anyway.

Im so annoyed with all the BS surrounding Ricks character. First they telegraph that hes gonna die, then they have him not die. Now they have all this marketing about how Andrew Lincoln will be missed but golly maybe hell decide to come back one day.

The show can be entertaining but AMC needs to stop acting like the show is some high brow criterion work of Art. Its a fuckin zombie show, let it be what it is

^ I don't remember them telegraphing Rick's death so much as his departure from the show. His manner of leaving was the one thing that was left up in the air. They've also stated that there's no chance he will ever return to the show, but he will be in that spinoff trilogy of movies so maybe that's what you were referring to.

I mean all the marketing seems reasonable considering he was like the main character since season 1.

If your wife didn't quit over the 2 painfully long Negan-centric seasons, I don't think she'll quit over this. The show is finally starting to get traction again.

I can see where your wife is coming from though. Walkers haven't been the main concern for the group since Hershel's farm. It's just been one group of hostiles after another. But if they stick relatively closely to the source material, the Whisperers are badass and should make for a good story arc.
