For being unchristian? They wanted a government censorship board.

I don't agree with Tipper nor do I like the Gores or Clintons at all.
But wasn't it more than just that they were unchristian?

I thought it was to protect children

Nope that was before I was born. I do remember them banning a shit ton of songs from the radio after 9/11 though. I think they banned all RatM songs for a while.

My most vivid recollection of this is buying Jimmy Eat World's Bleed American album at target on sale for $9.99- only to find out that all versions of the album I had bought were pulled from the shelf after the incident and "Bleed American" was removed.

I ended up losing my copy over the years though, not sure if it is rare/worth anything or not.

That's just an excuse Christian watch dog groups use. Funny that you are defending them. Wouldn't something like that count as SJW to you?

Discogs tells me that my Canadian 2001 pressing from before the attack averages for $3.75.

Hell people like The 2 Live Crew got allot of shit back in the day from both political parties.

I don't think they'd stand a chance in hell in todays mindset.
