It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.

Keep where you are because, if I should make a mistake, it could never be set right in your lifetime.

Did you hear the message?
I did, Joe.
What did you make of it, Tom?
Nothing at all, Joe.
That's a coincidence, too, the guard mused, for I made the same of it myself.

That second quote is hilarious. When he wanted to, Charles Dickens could write pretty well.

tale of two cities was boring as shit. I tried to read through that book and couldn't.

I did like oliver twist though, the author's sarcastic tone when describing the horrible adults at the boys' orphanage shows just how great of a writers charles dickens was.

I can imagine that on the front cover of his books.

"Pretty good at writing" - Sunhawk.

Might drive up sales a lot. Although I expect Dickens still sells quite well.
