If you had multiple Atari's, please select the one you used the most and reply with all the versions you had. Also, tell us what kind of peripherals you had (410 tape drive, 810 floppy drive, 1020 printer, etc).

I had both a 400 (which I still have) and an 800 (sadly long gone). I also had the 410 tape drive, which eventually developed a problem where it wouldn't reverse.

We had a Pong console when I was very little, but I don't remember much about it.

I never had a 2600 growing up and I was used to the much better graphics of the 800, so the Flashback consoles seem like junk to me. I wish they'd release an 8-bit Flashback with Star Raiders and the good version of Pac-Man.

Started with a Atari 2800 (upgraded 2600 built for Sears)

400 upgraded to 800 specs with full-stroke keyboard, 64k memory card built from a kit, homebuilt composite monitor interface. Tape drive. 64k x1 bit memory chips were $9 each, $81 for 8 bits plus parity chip.

Then an 800 and an 810 disc drive. Then a 1050 disc drive.

A 1200.

A Lynx model 2

A pair of 1040STs

7800

Still have them. Pulled the 400 out last year to play LucasArts Rescue On Fractalus. Still works great from 1984.

My Pong console wasn't from Atari, but National Semiconductor. It still works, too.

I had a ColecoVision with an Atari 2600 adapter module. Which is something I'm not sure you young'uns can ever properly wrap your brains around (imagine if Microsoft sold a converter that would allow you to play PS4 games on the Xbox One).

I've played an Atari once or twice, and I have the E.T. cartridge somewhere just for fun, but I've never owned an atari. I did own a ColecoVision and later an Adam (PCish version of a coleco), as well as a TRS-80 Color Computer 1, and later 2. The SMS blew all that away though when I finally got one.

I'm the only person I know that owned an Atari 7800. All my friends had an NES and I'm over here like "Look how arcade perfect this version of Ms Pac Man is!"

Luckily my parents got me and my brother an SNES for Christmas of '92.

Nah I came into gaming just a tad too late for all that. Technically the SNES was out when I started gaming but I still started with NES and super Mario Bros. Didn't get a SNES until like 94-95. Think the n64 was the first and very few consoles I got when it was still new

I have had one of those Atari things that's akin to the NES classic though. Forgot about that. Technically wasn't mine but my friend I was living with had it

Got my start playing with my parents and their wood grain 2600. The market crash gave me the first backlog.

I had the 2600. Sometimes my babysitter would bring over Adventure or Keystone Kapers. That was the bees' shits.
I wish new consoles had a woodgrain finish.

My XEGS crashes when you press RETURN while in BASIC, for any reason, even if only to run a basic PRINT "HELLO" command. I have an Atari tape drive, but no use for it. Only game I have for the XE is the built-in Missile Command; no carts at all.

Keystone Kapers

Fuck yeah.

All the best 2600 games were made by Activision.

A shame that company died 30 years ago, and was replaced by a psychopath wearing its corpse face like a mask.

Though maybe fitting that the same thing happened to Atari itself. The two companies twinned from birth to death like karmic siblings.
