Oh fuck no. It's the only noir detective game though and at least you didn't pay for it

It's alright. The ending is really dumb

no, IMO, especially since you can fail each investigation and still complete the game, iirc.

plus there's nothing much you can do in the world except for chasing some scarce suspect

It does some stuff right, and I'm a sucker for investigative sections in games so I enjoyed it. The story was pretty dumb though.

Oh he said he was open world, could respond to police calls, etc.

Mentioned something about catching people in lies, looking for clues, etc. kinda sounded like Heavy Rain

The dialogue choices can be really misleading sometimes

It's one of the emptiest open worlds in gaming and the interrogation system is utterly broken (Unless they went and fixed it for PS4)

You have to not mind a REALLY linear story and missions. You have no choice about what happens in the game. There are no consequences for doing badly. If you don't get the results the game wants you to get the game tells you to get back in there and interrogate better. Weird game to explain, it has an open world but its not an open world game. I found it novel but got dull towards the end. Still, there is something about it. Try it.

It's good until halfway or so through the Homicide desk.

Thats the charm of the game imo

Pick the wrong choice, Cole unexpectedly flies off the handle at whoever hes interviewing, and then sheepishly walks it back like ...seems I made a mistake

I liked it, just not the overarching story. The cases themselves we're good and fun to work through.

Doesn't look like my type of game personally, but the voice acting is fantastic, especially from Phelps.
