Snake actually did worse with registered users, which was a bit odd given MGS characters usually held up pretty well among registered users and Snake wasn't facing a true Nintendo character either.

Samus and Tifa both did worse with registered and anonymous users in the rematch compared to the original match.

For the first time this contest, the Top 50 went perfect. Every single person picked Link to win.

4 users fell off the Second Chance Top 50. ThrawEnivid, WANDER7, Seanic and supercurrymax did not have Link winning.

Yes, I know. I'm saying that Link/Cloud being the first time the Top 50 went perfect doesn't necessarily mean the Top 50 was picking against him in earlier rounds. They could have messed up on a different match while getting Link right.

This time though was the first time it was a single match and so we know without a doubt they all had to have picked Link.

Random note these vote totals are ass.

I think the sucky vote totals aren't just limited to this match, because vote totals seemed to collapse during the previous match. We were actually on pace to surpass 30000 votes based on our vote totals at the 12 hour point. We were at 19798 votes after 12 hours, and still only finished at 29353 votes. That means 67.45% of our votes were submitted during the first 12 hours, which is unusually high. A normal match with the 7:00 PM EST start time gets roughly 63.50% of the total votes during the first 12 hours, so the last match was either frontloaded, or the vote totals collapsed during the second half.

I honestly hope Zelda wins this match just for the thought of only Cloud being worth more than 34% on Link through raw numbers once Link lays the SFF hammer down.
