I've replayed LA Noire several times just because I like the music and atmosphere, so I want to find some artists with that kind of jazzy music. Also I have no experience with this kind of music and may or may not be intoxicated at the moment.

I dont really remember the flavor of LA Noire's soundtrack, but I'd suggest finding out what artists are featured and plugging them into Pandora or Spotify.

It was meant to sound like 1940s era contemporary jazz, so perhaps some songs from here might help you out

'40s jazz, huh? anything by dizzy gillespie, charlie parker, miles davis and bud powell from this decade is cool.

i'd have to think about specific albums, but at least check out davis' birth of the cool. it was released in '57 but recorded in '49 and '50, so close enough!
