- ff6 isn't the best ff, and the best is something after 7
- dq8 is the best in series
- small booties matter
- girls are "fat" if they're over 130#

All of these blow my mind. Next you're going to say Seagrams is the best macro ginger beverage -- or oreo blizzards are the best.

When i say superficial i mean not philosophical or ideological. If i was listing those three list would be waaaay longer

the only thing good about Little Cesar's is how cheap their pizzas are.

Pizza Hut is way better than Little Caesars.

Little Caesars is depression pizza because you're eating it when you're broke.
Pizza Hut is insanity pizza because you're repeating the same mistake hoping it'll get better, you're confused why you're spending more for mediocrity, and you're only eating it because it's there -- like free workplace grocery store cake

I see it very often, nonetheless Linkin Park was just an example, you can replace Linkin Park with most bands I see mentioned often on CE.

And no one ever talks about a good band or why a good band is good. Which really just supports my point. CE doesn't know music very well, but tries so desperately. Good music topics come up, but they get buried quickly and it's the same 3 to 5 posters in them.

and let's talk about Taylor Swift specifically. I've seen a lot of CEmen have real conversations about her music.... but not just her music, mainly just her hit songs, and sometimes about the full album.

That shit is formulated, designed and produced in a very specific way to appeal to a totally different demographic. This music isn't written in a garage, or from the heart. It's written in a damned shareholder meeting. CE, you are consuming the fattiest of the fat. I'm not going to knock you for liking it. Popular music is a science and it's designed specifically to be easily liked, but you should really consider the media you consume with some amount of scrutiny.

In the same way CE hates Little Caesars -- they like to pretend they're somehow above anything blue collar or relating to poverty and the everyman, yet are very surface level with their pretention of refinement. This probably relates somewhat to that "STEM or bust" and other classist beliefs so many here have.

They think they're too good for punk/hardcore unless it's been approved by popular conventional critics, and they think they're too good for horror because they want "higher" forms of cinema (horror, like punk, is full of DIY ethos). Oddly enough, though, they also like to separate themselves from the mainstream and pretend they're above the general population, so they'll gladly act like modern pop music isn't good -- their one exception being "woke" rappers.
