Then they'll get the same ol' SMW kaizo levels with the same ol' tricks, no new things, just different orders, and talk about how great it was.

Or if your level is remotely hard, they won't try to see the theme of it, they'll just say it sucks.

I hate kaizo levels. Part of the reason why I dislike some of the Megaman levels.

The trial and error thing is annoying. I want a difficult level that is more about my response time and how I react to certain things.

They are probably going to release a sequel when they have a slot to fill for the calendar. I'm thinking 2020 to coincide with the 35th anniversary of Super Mario Bros.

So yeah, memorization has a part, but you can first try a kaizo level if you have good knowledge of the game. In Mario Maker, it's those levels with the shell jumps, mid-airs, pow drops, etc, or well, most famous of all, kaizo blocks.

I'm not too good, so I might not be able to beat it, but I'll try to remember to give it a try when I get home on Friday.

My level gets a split reaction from the people. It's very hard, and there is some RNG, but honestly, the people who complain about it go in with no thought at all. There are ways to greatly minimize the RNG, and if you are patient, it won't be a problem.

I knew it would be controversial, but as I said, some say they don't like it, and that's fair, you don't have to like it, while some say they see the overall theme and they really like it/the idea of it.

I guess you'll just have to chalk that up to community lingo.

I just hate the mindset the top runners have on what a hard level should be like. They have to be rude about it if you don't fit that mold.

No, it didn't. You just can't read any notes that people may or may not have left behind. Some of the notes were informative, but most were just kids fooling around anyway. I had them off prior to Miiverse even shutting down.

If you are talking about loading times being longer, they found out how to fix that. But yeah, Mario Maker is just sort of relaxing. It's just a bummer that if you want your level to stay up, you have to advertise it awkwardly by going to streamers you never heard of when they do viewer levels just so the play rate goes up and it will be given a difficulty rank.

There's a slightly remixed version of it that I designed to be a bit easier (I added items to this one, lol).

As long as there are no advanced tricks, and it is just a level with jumps in a hard manner, I think I should be able to beat both, but it will just take a bit of grinding. I think I'll try the hard one first, and then if needed, go to the easier one and see if I can do it then.

I kind of miss them, though. It felt like you were on a journey with others if the level was insanely popular like the Super Meat Bros. level. They would encourage you on or make you laugh during the insanity that were those levels.

Yeah, if my charger wasnt fucking dead I'd still be playing Mario Maker. I had other ideas for Castlevania based levels that I wanted to make. Of all the Wii U games, MM was the only one that I actually wanted a Switch port of and they've ported every game but that, lol.

I only hope that the lack of a proper gamepad won't make it worse. The gamepad was very useful, and while the Switch is a touchscreen device, we need a good stylus.

No plans at all. Out of the entirety of the Wii U library, which I truly do love, the only two games I would recommend at this point are Super Mario Maker and Super Mario 3D World because the rest of the gems barring a few are on the Switch. There's Pikmin 3 as well too if you like Pikmin, I really enjoyed it.
