A soviet commander leads his soldiers when he stops as he hears a Finnish soldier shout out from over a ridge

Every Finnish soldier is worth ten soviets

Accepting this challenge, the soviet commander sends ten of his best men over the ridge, they dont return. A moment later the same Finnish soldier shouted out Every Finnish soldier is worth 100 soviets

Angered, the soviet commander sent 100 of his finest men over the ridge yet again none of them return a moment later the same Finnish soldier shouts out Every Finnish soldier is worth 1000 soviets

infuriated by this the soviet commander sends the last 1000 men he had left over the ridge, this time one bloodied soviet soldier returns the commander bends down just in time to hear his dying words Its an ambush, sir, there are two of them.
