Here is what I know : it's a sort of pewpewpew-ish 3rd person shooter where you can pick your class and shoot bazillions of insects, and people claim that it can be tons of fun, and that the PS2 graphics don't matter.
Therefore the dilemma is should I get this one here that came out a few days ago ? Again, I have never played any of the games in this series. I4m not saying this in the sense of storytelling, I know it has no story, what I mean is, will I like it ? Is it performing alright ? (framerate, etc) and is it fun after the first 2 hours ? Thanks in advance. EDF 4.1 was pretty fun. They're not designed to be AAA games, they're designed to be 3d Schmups with lots of pew-pew. The way you progressed in 4.1 was kinda weird in that, the only way I found to beat the later missions at a lower difficulty was to go back and beat the earlier missions at a higher difficulty for better gear. Or at least that was obviously the most efficient way.

I played earth defense force 2017 on 360 and loved it. You have to go in expecting that its intentionally a shitty b movie experience and that its meant to be over the top cheesy nonsense. It can be pretty fucking hard. I tried one of the sequels but didnt really like it because they actually tried making it into a real game, not sure how this one will be but honesty i thought 2017 was a hoot
