Shows were being cut down to 20 minute episodes. Shit, I think a few shows had 18 minute episodes. It was getting out of hand. But thanks to streaming services making their own series we have shows that run around 30 minutes and an hour+ for longer shows. It's gotta feel way less restricting for the ones making the shows. I can't imagine cutting 4-6 minutes out your episode you put a lot of work into when it's already only around 25 minutes long.

It's definitely a step in the right direction, even if it introduces its own unique issues.

Can you elaborate? I don't deny the claim, I just don't think about it lol.

I think Southpark and American Dad are 20-21 minutes. Some show I watched yesterday inspired this topic.

I can't write 30 pages of shit. 22 minutes is perfectly fine.

Nobody needs 30 minute shows about fucking roadkill anyway. 22 is fine

Sorry, poor wording. I meant to imply that it could have its own set of cons, going to a streaming service to build a show rather than a TV network. What those are, IDK I'm not actually well researched in it lol. Other than binge watching being bad for you, but that's more of a consumer risk than a company one.

There is that thing where you binge a show and not think about it a week later. Where if you actually watched it as a weekly thing it stays in discussion a lot longer. I feel like as a creator Id prefer not to have my stuff quickly talked about and dropped lol

Jeremy is an anthropomorphic fox. Other people can't see him.

Wasn't Wilfred a god in dog form or something like that?

If he was it went over my head or I forgot. Both are very likely.
