Why does everything always have to be made more extreme and clickbaity then it actually was? The full quote is:

People debate all the time about mass immigration. But what you never hear anybody do is make the economic case for mass immigration. And heres why: Our countrys economy is becoming more automated and tech-centered by the day.

Its obvious we need more scientists and skilled engineers. What were getting instead are waves of poor people with a high school education or less. Theyre nice people; nobody doubts that. But as an economic matter, this is insane. Its indefensible, so nobody tries to defend it.

Instead, our leaders demand you shut up and accept it. Weve got a moral obligation to admit the worlds poor, they tell us, even if it makes our own country poorer, dirtier and more divided. Immigration is a form of atonement. Previous leaders of our country committed sins. So, we must pay for those sins by welcoming an endless chain of migrant caravans.

If disagree with him then that's cool but he's clearly not talking about immigration in general but mass immigration of poor, unskilled refugees.

I'm just giving you a practical solution to your views of immigrants. If you think they make the place where you live so dirty, why not move somewhere with less of them? Cause I don't think it's at all feasible or realistic to expect the millions of immigrants to just move away from you, so why not move somewhere where they aren't?

This is particularly insane because a lot of those immigrants are janitors, cleaners, abdominal construction workers who literally make our whole country cleaner.

This is blatantly bigoted, in or out of context. The context doesn't make this any better, it makes it worse. Context is not a magic word that absolves people of their terrible statement. It's not a trap card to own the libs.

I've never bought into the whole "immigrants can be used as cheap slave labor" argument as some sort of positive. We shouldn't want immigrants(or anyone) working at places that mistreat them. Exploiting immigrants shouldn't be encouraged.

I don't believe in that slave labor wages crap either, but Americans aren't working those jobs and someone has too. So until janitors start making 6 figures I don't see why I should be looking down on people that are willing to work where Americans won't.

It's not about looking down on people. It's about letting big businesses abuse people to make more profit for themselves. Companies don't pay for cheap undocumented labor because they have to, they do it because they only care about the bottom line and undocumented people are easy to take advantage of. And if by some chance a certain company can't get by without abusing its employees then that is a company that is better off dead.

You actually make a good point, if we really want to solve the problem with illegal immigration, we should be targetting large companies that hire them. The biggest reason for illegal immigration is job opportunities here in america. Which is why i think its stupid to think a wall is going to solve the problem. Its more of a band aid than a solution.

And instantly you go to the standard argument. I, who didn't even defend Carlson's argument, must be a racist for simply clarifying the point he was making. I think if you want to call him out for disparaging the migrant caravan then that's fine because that's something he actually said but calling him out for disparaging all immigrants in general is, well, clickbait nonsense. Not that there's even a point in replying to you. I'm sure you'll just continue to ramble about how I'm a racist regardless of what I say.

Just look at Europe, they allowed migrants to flood in and now theyre richer, cleaner, and more culturally enriched than ever before.

America needs to open its borders, theres more than enough room for millions more. So much empty land thats ripe for being culturally enriched.
