LtM, if you have PSVR and Tetris Effect goes on sale, I would recommend it just for the experience. Just play through The Journey on easy, you don't really need to like Tetris mechanics to get down with the audio-visual stuff, especially in VR. I think Brad made a really good point that Miz's stuff makes a lot more sense in VR.

I don't care for VR either. Roomate has it and I don't enjoy using it. Also don't like Rez.

Finally finished the Mario Party video. Words can't express how disappointed I am they didn't play the cloud coin minigame, or the one where you try to pick the space with the most squares, or the candy jar game. Such a shame.

New format aside (I thought there was more value in more fun categories rather than talking about every single game), I think overall this year was better than last year. The only rough patches were Abby's little melty on day 1, and Brad/Alex being completely unable to comprehend how a game can be good, yet not meet expectations.

I'm just glad RDR didn't win, because that game really was PAINFUL to play. I equate RDR2 to MGS3 in the 'excellent core game with a great story ruined by bullshit game mechanics" category

I just cannot fathom that opinion. How can someone sit down and enjoy the gameplay loop of games like RDR2, BotW, MGS3? It literally breaks the pace of the game CONSTANTLY so some game designer can jerk himself off in a corner over how "innovative" his bullshit menu navigation mechanics are.
