For some reason, I watched an hour and half youtube video about this guy and his mental deterioration is probably one of the most tragic and craziest things I have seen in my life.

He performed a monumental feat creating his own OS from scratch by himself, he was very mentally ill though and it was sad. He's somewhat of a cult celebrity on the /g/ board of 4chan.

I had heard of him but I wasn't that familiar with him. But holy shit did this video put this man into perspective and damn what a rabbit hole this was.

Near the end during one of his lucid moments was really sad to me because you knew how his state had deteriorated... not the same but it reminded me of my grandpa that had Alzheimer's. Very similar feel to me when I saw him just talking to that dude about computers.

Down the Rabbit Hole is a good series, you should check out a few of his other videos. His Rajneeshpuram video is pretty good, and I love his video about the Collyer brothers.

Not too sure about his friendship with Mr. Mekotur or w/e though.

Similar case with his Time Cube video. The worst part is that over the years on classifieds sites, I've seen the same sort of crazy people as TempleOS and Time Cube - dropping the specifically phrased and disturbingly common racial slurs, making themselves out as being the smartest guy in the room and incapable of wrongdoing asong as they're getting what they want, etc.

His Time Cube video is also really good, I would recommend that one as well.

Fredrik Knudsen tackles obscure phenomena from the internet and real life, but his posts have followed this sort of content creator lately. His Spoony video landed just before the Channel Not So Awesome document dropped and his reading of the document blew him the fuck up, so he's gone for some more prominent subjects like Time Cube.
