Strictly speaking, I'm referring to the warped-but-no-ACE runs.
SNES All-Stars TAS: (10:23.77) ![]() NES TAS: (10:24.94) ![]() Just kinda funny. You'd think the NES one would be more optimized or something. --- See me on Discord! ^.^ Eevee's Mystery Dungeon: https://discord.gg/qavbtaQ ... Copied to Clipboard!

the games have different physics, you can tell just from watching the first few levels that it's not just a question of optimization and the games actually play differently.
In this game, you can use left+right to quickly accelerate from a standing position, and it allows Mario to run at a speed of 64 (even though it shows 66 in memory). This is faster than the regular speed of 56 when Mario has P-Speed. After quite a bit of work, I was able to beat the time of the NES TAS. This leads me to think that this version may be faster for warpless and 100% categories too, but I'm probably not going to worry about these. I'm honestly a bit surprised the SNES version isn't faster by a larger margin --- THIS IS WHAT I HATE A BOUT EVREY WEBSITE!! THERES SO MUCH PEOPLE READING AND POSTING STUIPED STUFF ...
