I'm a staunch egalitarian and as a result I'm generally quite cynical about feminism, especially the movements who are shy about even stating what their goals are.

But it's fucking stupid when large men say "Well if they want equal rights then I should be allowed to beat the fuck out of them with impunity. Equal rights means equal lefts/fights!"


And they say it all the time including otherwise intelligent people...

For starters since when (in America or western Europe) have you been allowed to beat the fuck out of people you dislike just because they are men?

I used to do bouncing and bodyguard work and if two guys were beating the fuck out of some guy we didn't just go "Whelp, they got dicks, checks out" and ignore it.

For 2. No one is claiming women are the same size or strength as men and can take them in brutal street fights like that chick from Terminator 3 throwing Arnie into a toilet.

For 3, what does that have to do with rights? We're talking about like right to work, equality in job oppotunities, autonomy over your own body, equal pay, hospital visitation, ending sex based discrimination/harrasment etc. Beating the fuck out of people you dislike is such a non-sequitur to that. Just like it would be to say "Well then I should be allowed to shove banana's into your armpits and then smush the mess across your face"



It's such a weird point and makes often insane emotional feminists look like bastions of logic and reason in comparison.

Reminds me of that Jordan Peterson guy who responded to women in the workplace being raped, harrased and fired by saying "Well they shouldn't wear make-up."

Just seems utterly nutterly butterly.

Harassed* NOT Assaulted*

He was making the perfectly correct statement that the purpose of makeup is to make women more sexually attractive which is contradictory in the workplace. Everyone lost their motherfucking minds over it. Doesn't mean it's OK to harass them. Just a basic truth everyone should be able to acknowledge without getting upset.
