"Filia, do you have any Sixes?" you ask.

Filia hands over two of them, so you're just one more card away from being second.

"Adara, do you have any Kings?" Raven asks.

"Go Fish," she says.

"Adara, do you have any Sevens?" Majorie asks while Raven draws a card.

"Go Fish," Adara says. "Rorek, do you have any Sixes?"

"Here you are," you say, "and thank you for getting me out of the game."

Adara smiles as she puts her set of four down.

"Well, I have some work to do," you say. "I'll be in my room if you need me."

You give Raven a little kiss on the top of her head before heading down the hall.

"Majorie, do you have any Sevens?" she asks.

Majorie hands over three Sevens and Raven has her second set!

"Hooray~!" Raven cheers. "High-five, Andres!"

She holds her up and Andres gives it a good slap as he giggles.

"Adara, do you have any Fours?" Majorie asks.

"Go Fish!"

Majorie draws.

"Majorie, do you have any Fives?" Adara asks.

"How did you know?!" Majorie says as she hands it over.

Adara has her set of Fives!

"Umm..." Filia says as she considers her options. "Raven, do you have any Aces?"

"Nope, Go Fish."

It's Raven's turn again, and she makes a risky play.

"Adara, do you have a Three?"

"Yes!" Adara says as she hands Raven her last card.

Adara is done with the game in third place, and now Raven is one card away from completely a set either way.

"Raven," Majorie asks, "do you have any Fours?"

"Nope, Go Fish."

Majorie draws a card but doesn't get a Four.

"Raven, do you have any Aces?" Filia asks again.

"No, Go Fish," Raven says.

Filia just asked, so she must be asking to try and draw on purpose. That's not against the rules as far as Raven knows.

"Filia," Raven says. "Do you have any Kings?"

"Yes," she says as she hands it over.

"Look at that, Andres!" Raven says as she puts down her set of Kings. "We're so close!"

"Yay~!" he says and applauds.

"Filia, do you have any Aces?" Majorie asks.

Filia hands over the rest of her cards and Majorie puts down her first set.

"Well, okay," Raven says as Filia sits back and smiles. "At least we won't be last. Because, Majorie, do you have any Threes?"

"Go Fish," Majorie smiles.

Raven draws, and gets that last Three!

"Hooray~!" Raven says as she puts down her fourth set, and the last of her cards. "We did it, Andres! High-five!"

Andres gives her the high-five while Majorie pouts.

The girls gather the cards and Raven puts them away in the box.

"Let's keep playing," Tana says.

"Oh, I dunno," Raven shrugs. "Isn't it getting late?"

"We can stay up!" Filia says. "It's Summer! No school!"

"Well, that doesn't mean we can stay up all night," Majorie says. "But just a little later."

"Okay, okay," Raven say. "In that case, how about..."

"A word game."

"Word game?" Tana asks.

"Yes," Raven says. "One example would be linking the words. The last letter of the previous word needs to be the first letter of the next word. Of course, this varies with language, so sometimes it can be the last syllable."

"That sounds fun," Filia says. "What language do you want to use?"

"Well, English would be fair to me, obviously," Raven says. "But I'll make sure to take it easy on everyone. We'll play with a three strikes system, like baseball. If you mess up three times, you're out, and the last person left wins. The first word will be... dog."

"Gum," Majorie says.

"Magic," Adara says.

"Cat," Filia says.

"Two," Tana says.

"Op!" Andres says.

"Huh?" his cousins say.

"Op?" Raven says.

"Yes," Andres says. "Op! Op!"

He points up.

"Ohh, up," Raven says. "Well, I guess we can let that one slide. Hmm... Pen."

"Noodle," Majorie says.

"Elbow!" Adara says as she points at her elbow.

"Wobble," Filia says.

"Wait, elbow doesn't end in W," Tana says.

"Yes it does," Filia says.

"It does, actually, yes," Raven says.

"Then..." Tana says as she thinks. "Umm... Lovely."

"Tana, wobble doesn't end in an L," Filia says.

"What? Yes it does."

"Spell 'wobble'," Adara says.

"W-O-B-B-U-L-L."

"Sorry, Tana, that's not how it's spelled," Raven says as the others giggle. "The E is silent. That's strike one."

Tana pouts and crosses her arms.

"Okay, Andres," Raven says. "The letter is E. Think of a word that starts with E."

Andres thinks real hard for a few seconds before saying, "Eat!"

"Very good," Raven says. "Hmm... T for...

"Awesome," Majorie says.

"Evil!" Adara says. "I know there's another silent E."

"Lovely!" Filia says.

"You," Tana says. "As in, me and you."

"Uven," Andres says.

"Oven's not spelled with a U, Andres," Majorie says. "Strike one."

Andres pouts but Raven moves on to her turn.

"Numb."

"Back," Majorie says with a smirk, "because I know there's a silent B."

"Knowing," Adara says, "because of a silent K."

"Good," Filia says.

"Door," Tana says.

"Rough," Andres says.

"Hot," Raven says.

"Nuh-uh!" Andres says. "Rough isn't spelled with an H."

"Yes it is," Raven says. "Unless... Andres, what word were you thinking of?"

"Rough like what a dog says," Andres says. "Ruff ruff!"

"Well you should've said that before," Raven giggles. "I guess that's a strike on me, then. Keep going, Majorie."

"T for Table," Majorie says.

"Every," Adara says.

"Young," Filia says.

"Girl," Tana says.

"Lick," Andres says as he giggles.

"That was almost a sentence," Majorie giggles with her sister and cousins.

"King," Raven says.

"Gold," Majorie says.

"Diamonds," Adara says.

"Stars," Filia says.

"Sand," Tana says.

"Dada," Andres says.

He seems to also say it because his father comes over. Andres gets up, starting to yawn, and his father picks him up.

"Well, I guess Andres is out because of bedtime," Raven says with a smile.

The girls are all a little older than Andres, and Majorie is oldest of them all, so Raven feels she can up the difficulty now.

Majorie thinks pretty hard on the word.

"Establish!" Marjorie says. "Because avalanche has another silent E."

"You have a good English vocabulary," Raven says.

"Thank you," Majorie smiles.

"Happiness," Adara says.

"Sound," Filia says.

"Doughnut," Tana says while giggling.

"Theory," Raven says, then giggles about the idea of doughnut theory.

"Yarn," Majorie says. "I know 'theory' ends in Y because of the Big Bang Theory."

Clearly Majorie is the one Raven needs to trip up because she's the smartest.

"Nails," Adara says.

"Snail!" Filia says, giggling.

"Light!" Tana says.

Raven and Majorie stare down as Majorie tries to figure out how turbulence is spelled.

"Single...?" Majorie says.

"Errh, wrong," Raven smirks. "It's that N-C-E combo."

"Oh, of course," Majorie says. "Like silence."

"Strike one for Majorie," Raven says. "Adara, your turn."

"Evening," Adara says.

"Gentle," Filia says.

"Extra," Tana says.

"Abdominal," Raven says.

"Language," Majorie says.

"Entrance," Adara says.

"Exit," Filia says with a smirk.

"Telephone," Tana says.

"Escalator," Raven says.

"Ruby," Majorie says.

"Girls," one of the mothers says. "C'mon, time for bed."

"But mom," Filia pouts. "We're not done playing."

"No, no, you should listen to your mother," Raven says. "Besides, we probably weren't going to finish the game for a long time. I made it too easy."

The four girls pout but get up. Raven also stands and follows them to the hall.

"So is tomorrow really the last day you'll be here?" Tana asks her.

"Well, the last full day," Raven says. "Rorek and I will leave Saturday to head back to America. Then we'll go on a big road trip from the East Coast aaall the way to the West Coast."

"Wow, you could go to Disneyworld and Disneyland!" Filia says.

"Well, yes, we could," Raven says. "But we'll be hitting all the well-known haunted spots instead."

"What?" Tana says with a raised eye-brow. "Why?"

"Well, I like spooky things, and Rorek is willing to go with me to these places."

"Oh," Tana says. "Okay."

Raven can tell Tana still thinks she's an odd one, but oh well.

"See everyone in the morning," Raven says as she heads for her and Rorek's rooms.

You managed to write it in a rather lovely script, too.

*knock knock*

"Rorek?" Raven calls from the other side of the door.

"Yes?" you say as you quickly hide the ring in your pocket.

You get up as she opens the door.

"How did Go Fish end?" you ask.

"Well, I wasn't last place," Raven chuckles. "But also, I had more sets than even you did, so in a way, I actually won."

"Oh you did?" you chuckle back.

"Yep," she says as she walks over.

She wraps her arms around your shoulders and rests against you a bit. You wrap your arms around her waist and kiss her between the eyes, on the bridge of her nose, to which she giggles.

"So did you finish your work?" she asks.

"Oh, uh, yes," you say. "I did very well, if I do say so myself."

"Great," Raven says. "What did you work on?"

"Uhh..." you say. "My scarf enchantments. Hadn't taken the time since my little dust-up with Kid Flash."

"Ah, okay," Raven says. "So..."

"So...?" you ask back.

"Wanna play Jedi versus Sith?" Raven asks with a smirk. "I believe I get to be the Jedi this time."

"Uh, sure," you say. "Let me just... get dressed. Or, changed."

"What? Why?"

"Just, so we can be more comfortable," you say. "You can take a moment to change, too, if you'd like."

Raven looks at you with a raised eye-brow and squinting eyes. She's obviously suspecting something.

"Well, all right," Raven says. "I'll make sure to dress as a Jedi then."

"Right, of course," you chuckle, doing your best to hide your nerves.

Raven exits the room and you quickly go to your luggage. You didn't have time to make a ring box, so you look through what you have to store the ring in. You'll have to just keep it with the chess set until the next time you play chess.

You change your clothes as you said, and put on black shorts and a black tee. You find the glow sticks and refresh them with some Restorative magic. You swing around the red one and leave the green and yellow on the bed. Raven returns in off-white shorts and a similar tanktop.

"I don't have anything brown," Raven shrugs.

"It's fine," you say. "That's good enough."

"Okay, so I win this time, right?" Raven says.

"No, no, the Jedi won last time. The Sith get to win this time."

"Meaning you get to win," Raven says. "Again."

"Well, think how we played it out the last time," you say. "A female Sith is the seductress. She lured the Jedi to her side. You winning as the female Jedi, nothing would happen."

"You could try... Yeah, I don't think you could be seductive. But, do I really have to lose again so that the big bad Sith man can have his way with the innocent female Jedi?"

"Well, you could go back to being a seductive Sith but in the dominant position."

"But we'd have to change clothes again," Raven says.

The two of you discuss for a few more minutes, and the decision is made. To your surprise, Raven goes with...
