I eventually just had to tranq them all and carry them to the LZ individually because they kept taking cover for no reason.

And uh..

Somehow got an S rank even though it took 46 minutes, I had 2 combat alerts and I literally died.

I kinda think the game thinks they've been spotted when a guard sees a sleeping guard or something, because there was a lot of thst going on and Miller kept telling me they had been seen, like a couple of seconds apart.

You need to be close to them otherwise they cant hear you.

I bet the So Hilarious is an illusion. I noticed while S Ranking mission 12 that Mantis hangs out near it, plus he was there when it grabbed Ahab in mission 6 too. Plus nothing that big could jump that well, and certainly not land without killing Skull Face, and even Huey says it shouldn't be able to run.

Don't tell me if I'm right or wrong lol.

No. Only way to deal with a chopper is to take it down in lethal fashion. Its not like pw where you can just open the cockpit then trans the pilot and they somehow safely land

The main reason i have little sympathy was it was basically a betrayal of BBs trust. He did this without his knowledge or permission.

He also did the same with the KGB but BB saw through zadornovs act immediately and called him out by simply calling him comrade. Miller played dumb though and didnt admit till later he already knew he was kgb when he made the deal with him.

Ive played the that game. Those said child soldiers didnt fight. So I got the impression he wasnt making them fight. Just training them until they where old enough. Still fucked up since he made orphans out of them and snatched them up but still to a lesser degree.

Hell you could kill the kids. You cant do that in this game without getting a gameover. In MG2 you just lost a little bit of health for doing it.

So basically its ok for solid to merc some kids but not big boss.

Either way its not his main beef with BB but im not going to spoil what it is for TC.

Personally I feel both options should be given to the kids. Train them in both and once of age ask them what they want to do. In no way try to persuade them into the soldier life though. But if they choose a normal life at least they have the skills to defend themself if it ever comes to it.

Im talking of course about the kids rescued in this game not the ones intentionally made orphans.

I think time spent on base and seeing how war can be would deter most from choosing that life. I mean seeing the soldiers coming back hurt how it effects them mentally or the ones who dont come back at all.

Eh what it is makes sense too on a more personal level. I dont fault miller for how he reacts I just dont feel sorry for him either. That's a divisive issue though ive argued with several who felt miller deserved sympathy

That im not sure about. Some side ops i think they are the harder variety period. Theyll be a red pinkish color.

Once you can fulton vehicles, you can fulton every type of tanks.
The balloon can be shot down if it is discovered... but you can bypass that later... Mission 31 unlocks Side Mission 50 which unlocks an upgrade for your Fulton that makes it impossible to stop your fultoning.
Helicopters cant be captured.

If you fulton one of those massive rectangular supply things while on top, you can ride it. It's really awesome for clearing some missions ASAP. Do what you gotta do, then ride it out of the hot zone.

Yeah it just comes across as silly in-universe where one second he's complaining thst you made a mess of the mission, then the next he's going "Amazing! That right there is why you're the boss! Thr one and only" while talking about the same mission. It would have been fun if they had Ocelot record a vocal for cases like that.

No traces I think also is a near guarantee on S ranks. But that would be too dificult for more casual gamers. Basically psnk (perfect stealth no kills) but you also leave literally no trace you where there. Like knocked out guards damging equipment. Cant even tranq a animal I think.

Mission 21 was pretty cool. I really liked that one. This was the one at the airport where you had the walkers and the helicopter, and the dude lands and goes in to talk to the arms dealer.

Mission 22 defeated me, but this was entirely because I fell to my death lol.

Since I have all optional objectives complete I usually just snipe dude through window. He walks in front of it very briefly.

What was real fun was doing the conversation optional objective during the day.

But that reminds me. TC one of the final missions you get locked into when you start. You can try aborting thr mission turning your game off and back on etc and you'll always start in that mission. And its a hard mission. So if you really need to get out to say grind for better equipment ride a container out.

I just did the mission on my playthrough and it's how I escaped.

I'm not exactly pushing my R&D team either, although I did do a small recruitment push in general right before the mission.

It does still really irritate me how long it takes enemies to call off the search. I mostly just try to fight it out instead these days. Let them kill me if there are a lot of them. What do I care, at least I don't have to spend an hour sitting in a porter potty.

Holy hell 22 is stupid.

Freaking getting seen from a different dang floor through the floor and guess what you can't even cap them in response. The target's guards spawn infinitely or else there are just a trillion of them so fulton is impossible if you get seen unless you just decide to spend the next week of your life waiting for them to call it off.

I just started these too TC. I had it on PC, maxing it out....

But I have to tell this to someone

I picked it up super cheap for PS3 and my jaw hit the floor...that they achieved graphics like this on last gen systems in a playable state at all boggles my mind. The improvement on lighting alone makes MSGIV look truly a generation behind. I mean the pop in really gets to me, and I imagine it's worse in PP (not there yet on PS3) but I feel like I'm not even missing out just because of how impressive the last gen ports are.

PS3, actually.

The pop-in is actually a lot better in TPP. Probably because TPP is not even nearly as detailed a game world as GZ and the places with detailed environments hide the enemies behind the details so you can't do the sweeping shot with the binoculars and see double-digit numbers of soldiers like you can at the start of the Ground Zeroes mission.

Considering you get a flat payment on each mission regardless of how many people you have on the team, this is impossible.

So I set my helicopter music to You Spin Me Round.

Ride of the Valkyries was the best so far but it got old after a while. Most of the others don't work at all because of the intro but You Spin Me starts fast pretty much immediately.

I love the idea of Rebel Yell and Final Countdown but it takes so long to get to the good part on both of those that I'm either leaving or gone by the time they even kick in. I didn't realize Final Countdown's iconic intro was so far into the track.

That said, if Heavens Divide is in this game, there better be a mission like the helicopter one in Ground Zeroes so I can get to the dramatic part while firing the minigun lol.
