Questions?

What are the best restaurants to eat at in your opinion at Disney World parks?

I have a reservation for Tusker House Nov 4th at animal kingdom, Crystal Palace Nov 5th magic kingdom, nothing for Hollywood Studios Nov 7th (won't let me book sci fi dine in theater and waiting to see if Roundup bbq is open by then), and Biergarten on Nov 8th at Epcot

2 adults, 1 kid age 5 and 1 kid age 12.

Also any other tips regarding parks?

Trying to avoid parks that have extra magic hours and go to them on days they have a full schedule.

Not sure if it wouldn't be better to just do 1 character dinner and just eat around quick dining places also.

Staying at a place about 12 mins from the parks. Not on site.

Only character dining I've done at Disney World is Chef Mickey's. It was good food and my little cousins loved it(They were 4 almost 5 and 10 at the time, so similar ages). With kids that age I'd consider doing just one character/sit down meal unless they are really into meeting characters or really, really used to eating at restaurants regularly(Especially Epcot, where for little ones World Showcase can get a little bit dull).

Make sure you know what height requirements they meet and what attractions they are willing to ride as this will affect ride priority.

First full week of Nov should theoretically be one of the slower weeks of the year(Here at Disneyland it is one of my favorite weeks to be at the parks).

Star Wars Land will be open at Hollywood Studios by then so all bets are off for crowd levels at that park.

Yeah, I figure beeline to star wars land at the gate and whatever we get done at that juncture is it because screw 5 hour long lines.

Toy Story Roundup Rodeo BBQ is supposed to open in Hollywood studios. If that is finished in time, that is the character dining we really want.

Be Our Guest seems to be sold out. As does Sci Fi unless the reservation system just isn't working right. I was surprised that sci fi seems to be perpetually sold out every date cuz many say they can get walk up seats at it.

Huh, I got mine for lunch a couple weeks back but its possible the Star Wars stuff has people hyped for months on end so Hollywood Studios is tricky to book for (and maybe all of Disney)

50s Prime Time might be a good alternative, heard good things from others who went there about it

I am 179 days out for that date also so the fact it is sold out every day for all times is weird to me. I almost considered the fact maybe it is being closed or something

We did breakfast at be our guest. (wanted dinner, but settled)
Lunch at Akershush in Norway (Epcot) (princess dining)
Lunch at Hollywood and Vine (hs) (mickey and friends Christmas party)
Dinner at Cinderella Castle (princess dining)

Best meal might have been Akershush.
Be our guest was good but it's hard to fuck up bacon and eggs. And of course we got the grey stuff.

Remember that you may have just gotten access to making reservations for your whole trip, but the day before a million other people got access for their whole vacation which runs with yours. Your best bet for reservations is always starting on your last day and working backwards.

Yeah, I get it. Just surprised sci fi booked. We were pretty unanimous and pumped for that one.

Also I'll be heading there in two and a half weeks, I'm actually looking for quick service meal advice if anyone has any.

(my last trip was with my little cousins so we were limited to places that had chicken nuggets and hamburgers).

All these B8ers always come o Orlando where I live. Someone better hit me up at some point!

Sadly I know very little about Disney despite my better half working there. Only been 4 times in 7 years and 2 of those were last month when my family visited for the first time.

Jersey week is a crappy week to go, everything books up so fast. You'll find it if you keep looking. We canceled a reservation for dining the night before cause we were exhausted.

Yeah, when we went in 2017 it was Jersey Week since schools were already closed two days. It was a goddamn mad house but with Fast Passes it actually wasn't too bad.

And you get to see the start of the Christmas season!

Lots of good food at Epcot. I thought Via Napoli was great (Italian) and if you like fish, Columbia Harbor House at Magic Kingdom has some interesting options. Its mostly standard fare (one of the more casual dining options) but still has more to offer than chicken nuggets.

Anyone been to Biergarten? How is it?

Is Disney springs worth a visit? Seems like a glorified shopping mall basically.

Also saw a place that's dinner theater called Capone's or something and for like $27 a person they give you an all you can eat buffet and alcohol? What? Seems impossible.

Highly recommend checking out Disney Springs if you have time. Entry is free and theres a lot of good dining to be found. Its fun to walk around and some of the stores are massive and quite the spectacle. Theres a Lego store that kids will love if theyre into Legos.

How much was your vacation?

I got tickets for like $1700ish. 4 days. Place to stay is like $750 for a week. I figure $300 to drive down. $100 parking at Disney. Then I have about $1500 set aside for spending there (which might not be enough).

I wanna go back next year and do Universal and Legoland.

Pay for the deluxe parking, it's $20 more but so fucking worth it.

Your package sounds roughly like mine. Drove down too.

I think in the end the whole thing cost around $5k. Cinderella Castle dinner was an extra $250. All the character dining is absurdly priced.

Cancelling the Crystal Palace reservation btw as she isn't really feeling it. Doing quick dining that day I guess.

Thinking about moving Epcot from Friday to Wednesday. Got a Biergarten reservation for both days just in case because thinking their may be an influx of crowds Friday compared to Wednesday.

Hollywood studios is having 3 extra magic hours for like 2 months until November 2nd so I luckily will miss that slightly.
