Social media worsened my life. I hate it for so many reasons.

I only really use Facebook Messenger to talk to friends, and I like to scroll through Instagram as I mainly follow meme pages/sports teams. I do use Twitter a little bit to keep up with breaking news.

So I don't use social media to see what my friends are doing, or interact with random people, etc.

I think there are some benefits to it but the drawbacks more than outweigh them unfortunately

i appreciate it because it's fun time killer

but i do believe there's long term mental damage caused by social media, especially for kids who get a lot of their self-esteem and self-worth from it. the chase for likes, feeling ugly, the addictive nature of the algorithms, cyber bulling, etc

I've never really used it for like chattin' with people I actually know other than some friends on Facebook Messenger

I mostly just use like Instagram'n Twitter ta follow hot girls'n cute doggies. Social media's great for that

I use it constantly--gamefaqs, youtube, twitter, and reddit mostly.

Each one has a different usage. Some spawn more narcissism than others. I think Instagram and Facebook can be harmful because they make it easy to get envious of other people, and they encourage narcissism. They are also very invasive. But at least facebook provides a good way of reaching people you know.
