Rules:

2 save states means you have two separate 'files' (A and B) you can save to and load from. You can only load from a save state once before you have to make a new save state, so no having one ten years in the past and one yesterday and loading between them forever for example.

Each time you load from a save state, there is a 1 year cooldown period before you can load again from that particular file. You can save and overwrite files whenever.

Infinite money has a limit in that you can't spend more than 5 million Euro each month, over all of your expenses put together. If you somehow end up in debt with a monthly payment rate of over 5 million, you are given an allowance of 50 Euro per day until all debts are paid in full at a rate of 5 million Euro per month.

I get ya, I was trying to make both options equally tempting.

You could totally make money with the saves too. Save a few hours before the lottery, get the numbers, remember a few sport results or whatever.

Go back a few hours to the save state, take your jackpot cash, bet on sports to win some more and still have a save state ready for emergencies.

Invest in large scale aquaponics, nuclear energy, and interstellar shelter that can hold large quantities of people. Go to Mars with large staff of people, dogs and cats (though pugs are banned, we ruined them genetically and they need to die out.)

No problem, the man thinks. He has always made sure he had a file from the beginning of all this just in case he needed to start from scratch.

But when he gets back to the past to check out the doctors, it turns out he is still too late to fix the illness. He is going to die within ten years no matter what.

So it ends with a depressed, broken man constantly cycling through the same ten years of his life, too afraid to accept death

If you cannot parlay save states into near infinite wealth, you do not deserve either. All it takes is one lottery win and a trip to Vegas. GG

Save states. I save before a large powerball draw. I then wait till the numbers are drawn, memorise them and win the lottery. I don't need infinite money, 100+ million is more than enough. Save again a year later and then just enjoy my life.
