Awesome posted...
COVxy posted...It's weird how obesity is one of the most booming biomedical science fields, given how it's so simple that it can be summed up with a 3rd grade concept. This is hilariously naive ... Copied to Clipboard!

Because most of what America considers "food" is something closer to what can be considered a "product".
It's a number of manufactured ingredients all mixed together that just happen to take on the form of calories. When looking at pre-packaged snack foods, they're loaded with immense amounts of calories. If you're eating actual, real, food... for example... cooking the majority of your meals from scratch ("but but who has the time?" lol you gotta make the time) then weight really won't be an issue for you. However, if you're someone who grew up on fast food/packaged snacks (but were able to coast by due to your younger body's metabolism) you're going to find that as you get older the shitty "food" really catches up with your body and you start to pack on pounds. You have to eat a lot greens, cooked meat, oatmeal (the PLAIN kind with fruit, not the packaged sugary stuff)... things like that if you want to control your weight. Also... mixing all those bad "foods" with alcohol intake seriously exacerbates the weight gain. --- "With cheese in either hand, anything is possible" ... Copied to Clipboard!
