A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin is still involving himself with new projects...including a video game. In a blog post that described Martin's feelings towards Game of Thrones coming to a conclusion, he made a slight mention of having "consulted on a video game out of Japan". While this on its own is quite interesting, there have been a few rumors floating around since the start of this year, claiming that not only was there a Japanese-developed video game that would feature George R.R. Martin as the lead writer, but that it would be developed by From Software. Spawn Wave was the first to make this claim, while an "industry insider" has spoken out to another news outlet that the game has been in development for at least three years, is an open-world game, and is planned for a worldwide reveal at Microsoft's E3 conference. This claim would certainly line up with From Software's current plans of working on two unannounced games after releasing Deracine and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
