Bought some concert tickets for my parents 6 months ago, cost me around $120.

Turns out they can't go, and neither can I. Well no big deal, someone will want them.

Nope. Doesn't matter. This is ticketmaster after all. Tickets are non-sellable, non-transferrable, non-refundable. They're basically good for 5 seconds of burning at this point.

But here's the real fucking kicker. I paid an extra $15 for "missed event" insurance. I actually thought for a second that I could claim that back.

Just read the contents policy. Basically anything short of a fucking terrorist attack on the venue where I get shot 3 times and spend 6 months in hospital will invalidate the claim.

Just gotta laugh at myself here. What a fucking goober.

Wait. Doesn't Ticketmaster let you sell them? Not sure on the restrictions of it, but recall seeing this option when I purchased some for a gig recently.

Says my name on the ticket. Some events require a photo ID that matches the name on the ticket, this is one of them.

is that a UK thing? because here in the US not only does Ticketmaster have their own secondary market where you can sell/buy tickets, but they own Stubhub.com, the largest ticket reseller (aka scalper enablers).

That sucks.

But tbf, if they send you the tickets you could sell them in person to someone if you are able. I've never had any name/ID checked for tickets that I recall.
