yea, the second season of American Gods is pretty trash, IMO, and I say that with American Gods being one of my favorite books, and after really enjoying the first season.

it's a lot of new stuff not in the book, iirc, and even though I don't mind social commentary when it's handled well, with the exception of a scene or two involving Anansi, there's a lot of heavy-handed racial stuff going on.

My only issue, and I just discovered this through this series, is that fucking Amazon Prime Video DOESN'T SUPPORT CASTING. I was so mad. I had to umm... get the series through alternative means so that I could cast it to my TV. I ain't watching on my phone if I don't need too.

I wrapped it up yesterday, myself. I really liked it overall, albeit with some nitpicks. Some parts of it dragged, the four horsemen weren't pulled off that well imo. I really didn't like how the actress for War played her (though I REALLY liked how Famine was done). And the whole airfield scene felt kind of anticlimactic (and Benedict Cumberbatch was wasted :().

I agree with what totalnerd said. I don't like views being finger wag shoved in my face, and it's why I dropped Sabrina pretty early on. The diverse elements in Good Omens felt natural and done well. And tbh I don't even consider Adam and Eve on that same playing field, since isn't it said we evolved out of Africa?

But yeah anyway, really good watch! I've seen some complaints specifically about Anathema and Newt but I liked them personally, especially Anathema. The two highlights are still Crowley and Aziraphale.

The airbase scene in the book was also kind of anticlimactic, but I think that was also sort of the point. I was wondering how they'd pull that off in the show. I will definitely give it a watch soon though.
