Like, interesting in that either it actually seems to have some merit, or that its totally wild and out there but is really cool to think about (like the more metaphysical/spiritual/philosophical type theories about the world or universe or life).

Literally not a conspiracy theory lol.

For me I think it's that the Titanic that sank wasn't really the Titanic but the sister ship that had been damaged previously and the whole thing was like an insurance scheme.

I've always thought the various conspiracies theories about famous dead people actually still being alive were kinda interesting. You know, like elivs faking his death to go hide from society for 40 years or whatever. that sorta thing

not really because I think the theories themselves are convincing or anything, but because normally conspiracy theories also come with a "the Bad Guys are out to get me" kinda element to them whereas these are some bizarre way of trying to cope with loss

First off, holy crap your sig is hilarious lol xD

Yeah, I think in a way its sort of just the nature of being human. In a way, it is like the world is out to get us simply because we are destined to die and its scary. Then of course there have always been people who look to exploit others and have done so successfully many times throughout history. But theres a difference between knowing that and having an unwarranted ego-based paranoia.

I like the dead people theory too, but as it applies to all those who once lived since the dawn of time, and that the place we inhabit is far larger than we believe infinite, even.

There's a second Earth on the other side of the sun that we can't see or get to. (I don't know much about it, but it's an interesting idea.)

Also, I've read and watched videos about the sun being a fake because our actual sun burned out, so we needed to make a fake sun so people wouldn't find out... it's weird, but the idea that someone could actually create a sun (which scientists have done in Germany, I think... Google it if you're interested) and pop it into the sky without anyone on the planet noticing, is pretty cool.

I mean, if people believe it's true and that aliens come from there, etc. then it's a "real" conspiracy theory.

Also... Wizards in England? That's just a fairytale... *Nervous laughter* You crazy kids.

I like that one, too, but then the question always comes to me: IF this were true, could we do anything to alter our lives? (Like "hack" the system?) Or are we stuck going through the same old, mapped out routines that the simulation allows?

Anyway mine would be about the moon being the work of intelligent life. What are the random chances the moon is the perfect size at the perfect distance from earth to create a perfect solar eclipse? Any further or closer and it wouldnt work. Any different size by a couple miles and it wouldnt work.

edit meant solar

Everything about the Federal Reserve and how it's a private organization yet controls the US money supply:

-How the conspirators tried to hire war hero Smedley Butler (author of the classic book War is a Racket) to commit a coup against the US government. He went along with it pretending he agreed only to snitch on them to Congress because he was a true patriot.

-The meeting on Jekyll Island

-The sinking of the Titanic and how it was actually a plan to kill all the rich and powerful people who were against creating the Federal Reserve. Basically they invited all the wealthy and powerful to the Titanic's maiden voyage but they all backed out at the last minute and sabotaged the ship specifically for that purpose. So they could create the Federal Reserve without resistance.

The Titanic sank in 1912. The Federal Reserve Act was signed in 1913

Pretty much nothing because that's not what happened. The gravity of the Moon plus shadow of the Earth is what made the Moon the way it is after billions of years.

Probably boils down to national parks are ideal hunting grounds for serial killers.

That the government space program is like star trek but they pretend like we are primitive. The idea is our space program is centuries more advanced than we are told and we have astronauts exploring the Galaxy and exchange programs with aliens on other planets. This theory also includes Obama and one man claimed to be part of it and said he once met a young Obama on Mars in the 70s or something

That's interesting at least lol as long as it has a cohesive narrative to it.

Probably boils down to national parks are ideal hunting grounds for serial killers.

That reminds me of the paper about a 50 mile area in Yellowstone where you could theoretically get away with any crime:

Yellowstone National Park is federal land, and as a result, federal courts have exclusive jurisdiction over crimes committed in Yellowstone. Yellowstone is mostly in the state of Wyoming, but small sections fall within Montana and Idaho. The federal judicial district of Wyoming covers all of Yellowstone, including the Montana and Idaho portions.

The vicinage clause of the Sixth Amendment requires that juries in federal criminal trials be drawn from both the state and the district in which the crime was committed. So, if you commit a crime in the Idaho portion of Yellowstone, you are in the state of Idaho and the district of Wyoming. The only area that is both in the state of Idaho and the district of Wyoming is that 50-mile patch of Yellowstone that is in Idaho. And since no one actually lives in that 50-mile patch, prosecutors would not be able to empanel a jury that lives in both the state and district in which the crime was committed. The argument is that since no jury could be empaneled, you could not be tried and would have to be allowed to go free.
