I'll be honest; despite my rampant hatred of SA and goons, I enjoyed Barkley Gaiden 1. And having met the crew at PAX years ago, I can't deny I'm heartbroken about this.
I'd normally brag about how I was right about Kickstarters years ago, but honestly? I didn't pay a cent and I still feel bad that it ended this way. I'll just keep my mouth shut on that matter.

Forgive me for being the bearer of bad news. If it makes you feel better, I reread it after my kneejerk reaction and there's a chance it will be finished still, given that the owner is still there. A one in a billion chance, mind you, given that almost all the staff has left, and if is made, I guarantee it'll lack the humor and soul of the first, but dammit, it's something.

On Twitter whoever runs the Tales of Games account says that most of what he says is true, but that development is not dead and he and one other person are still working on the game.

Im sure whatever comes of that will ultimately disappoint but I still want to see the writing they came up with during those first few years
