Yes I'm playing the fan translation of the PS2 remake of DQV as a treat to myself for finishing up all my PS2 games that I own. I've already played both the SNES and DS versions so I may as well get this one in too

1-6 honestly are fantastic on mobile

Like every time there's a romance in a game, there should just be a harem option instead.

Yeah, with mobile for all of 1-6 you get a consistent localization across them all. 1-3 have pros and cons compared to other versions, but its the unarguable best for 4, and for 5 and 6 they are identical to the DS version and the other versions of those require fan translations anyway

But the real reason I don't like Bianca is how she constantly talks about "ghost bustin" 20 years later. You were 8 Bianca. Its just not realistic or romantic at all.

I was reading some tropes and I found this:

Porting Disaster: The Playstation 2 version is so incredibly broken that it's possible to skip 95% of the plot, walk past of the majority that isn't skipped, and "kill" the final boss by running away from it, since the game reads that as winning the battle. Since choosing who to marry is skipped, the game unsurprisingly defaults to Bianca

Yeah the glitched speedrun for the PS2 version is pretty great, try to find a run from a marathon event where everything gets explained. Basically right before a fight youre supposed to lose you, the game gives your character a flag that makes Hero dying count as a win. But by going out of bounds to avoid the fight youre meant to lose in, the flag is never removed. Therefore any battle in which the Hero dies is won instantly, so just have him cast Kerplunk when necessary

Deborah isn't abusive. She's half "take no shit, half tsundere" towards the protagonist. When the kids come along, she's like, "All right. Fuck everyone else. We are all saving the world, and they ain't stopping shit."

Hearing the Bianca DOESN'T FUCKING SHUT UP about the ghost hunting thing...ewwwww. I'd rather take Flora if Deborah isn't an option.
