It says I have 2 hours until an explosion and I dont know what to do! I cant get close to the ship because of the radiation! Any help here?!

You can create a radiation suit that lets you go there. I don't remember what you need, but it's not too bad.

The Aurora? Don't worry too much about it. Radiation only affects a certain distance around it and you can get a radiation suit to block it off.

You actually can't do anything with the ship and in fact risk a lot getting close pre explosion. It could catch you in the radius, or you could attract the attention of a reaper and not be prepared to flee.

Much better to just take the game at your pace. Just remember, those noises you'll be hearing eventually, that's sonar. If you hear them, they see you.

I got scared getting attacked by that shark like creature and those suicide bomb blowfish? I think? When I saw the description of the world saying Leviathan level creatures on the planet I nearly shit my pants. Its like a Dragon level threat on One Punch Man lmao

Basic subnautica tips:

- Scan everything. Trust me. Everything. It's annoying at first but pays off bigtime later.
- Go to wrecks and scan everything you can.
- Avoid the aurora to begin with. If you really really need to go, then circle around the back. Don't charge in, you will regret it. Sammy will make you regret.
- You can cut vines and plants with a knife. This gives you different stuff than just picking up the plant sometimes.
- Make batteries. Make a battery charger.
- Build the scanner room as soon as you can. This will let you find huge amounts of materials really quickly, provided you've scanned it.
- Early on, use air pipes to get deeper.
- learn how to make purified water. You'll never go thirsty again.
- use that magnet ball thing to collect food. Better yet, get a farm. A single farm plot with melons on it will keep you alive forever basically.

Ok guys. Im making good progress but I hit a snag? I think? Or Im just sure scared lol. Life pod 17... I dont what to go nowhere near this thing lol. There are Sharks everywhere and this big ass sea creature I dont want to get within 50 meters of! I know I need to explore it but these sharks that burrow into the ground are just everywhere. One is constantly circling the life pod so Im not sure what to do

Most of the small enemies aren't that much of a threat. The Sand Sharks will pretty much hit you once and then swim away for a little bit. If you have the sea glider (don't remember if that's exactly what it's called, but it's that portable machine that lets you swim faster), you'll be much faster than them. Even if they do hit you they don't do much damage.

It's really just the medium sized + Leviathans you have to worry about, but you likely won't run into them if you don't go into the deep zones (which you'll eventually have to go to to progress the story, but you can delay that as long as you want).

Edit: Also if those big things are those things that make whale-like noises and swim close to the surface, don't worry about them. They're harmless (aside from some plants that are on top of them and shoot stuff at you, but they don't have good aim).

Ok cool. I got another question. My seaglide is about to run out of power. What do I do about that? Do I just have to craft another battery to replace it or do I have to craft a brand new one? I hope I dont have to craft a brand new one lol

Once you get around to making a base (if you haven't already) you can make a battery recharge station to recharge them. That said you should still make extra batteries so you can have some spares to replace dead ones when you're away from your base.

the shallows give a lot of scanning debris and a couple wrecks. make this area yours. you will find blueprints to improve exploration as you progress through radio transmission pods.

note that you dont need to stock up and store on raw material like them seaweed clusters because its just a short distance away from your pod. this item and items like it are 4 slot takers. if you really need to take it with you, make piles of that near your base and never worry about going out to the forest again

its gonna stay there in a pile where you left it forever if its on a level ground.

basically all piles are cept for them scrap metal cause the scavengers will take them to make their own pile of junk

OK so update. Im on the island where Im suppose to be rescued. There is an alien buildings here. My nope senses were tingling so I avoided that and picked up some purple alien artifact. I kept exploring the island and ran into a cave system. My nope senses are going crazy right now. I have 18 minutes to kill. Should I explore the cave, the ancient looking alien ruins, both or, my preferred option, neither? Lol

EDIT: BTW, it is night time and, no lie, Im scared. Maybe I should just sit on the island and wait to be rescued. Thats what i would do if this was real life lol
