It was not at all what I expected... to be honest I'm not 100% sure what I expected. I thought it was pretty good. Satima might now be my favourite super hero. I love that he's not really all that humble but he isn't super cocky either. I think my favourite part of the animation is that he generally looks like a bad anime drawing in an otherwise pretty good looking show, except when he's getting serious.

Season 2 has a different production team. People do not like it and from what I've seen it's understandable.

If you liked Season 1, I recommend Mob Psycho 100, which has a somewhat similar concept (it's by the same guy) and had a second season recently, which is quite a bit stronger than OPM's.

I wouldn't say you shouldn't watch season 2, but at least don't watch it for the animation.

season 2 is still fine just ignore the animation when it has frantic battle scenes

I'm also someone that thinks Mob Psycho 100 is extraordinarily better than One Punch Man so yes I second that recommendation to watch

I'm a huge OPM fan but tbh I couldn't get into Mob Psycho after the first like 3 episodes

That's fine to me. I can deal with a dip in story quality if it's for setup reasons. Because then retroactively it kind of brings the previous seasons up a little.

Mob Psycho takes some time building up much more than OPM. Episodes 4 & 5 I found much better than anything before it, and then 8 is where things really start kicking off.

(Funny enough, that sort of applies to S2 as well.)
