Well it's in the right direction, but for the most part they're adorned to distinguish themselves from... y'know... the other ones.

Oh, and in the Tibetan Bon tradition, they're called "Sauwastika" given the direction they face, so "I don't know what that is" is baloney.

EDIT: One more thing. The presentation of the Tibetan version is done square, not at a 45 degree angle. The placement of this element in relation to the white sections suggests it's placed at an angle.
