Publisher THQ Nordic and Battle Chasers: Nightwar developer Airship Syndicate have announced Darksiders: Genesis, a spin-off set before the events of the original Darksiders coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, PC, and Stadia.

From the dawn of creation, The Council has maintained the Balance across existence. Carrying out their orders are The Horsemen, Nephilim (powerful beings spawned from the unnatural union of angels and demons) who have pledged themselves to the Council and been granted immense power. However, this power came at a tragic cost: the Horsemen were ordered to use their newfound strength to wipe out the rest of their kind. What followed was a bloody battle on Eden where the Horsemen, obeying the will of the Council, annihilated the Nephilim. Still reeling from the events on Eden, War and Strife have been given a new assignmentLucifer, the enigmatic and deceptive demon king, has been plotting to upset the Balance by granting power to master demons throughout Hell. They did Strife dirty. Introducing the rest of his siblings in solo mainstream games while he gets buddied up with his brother in a spinoff game.

I kinda hope the style of the second game, but more room for customization. You either had a strength or a magic build and items to compliment that, but not really room to create your own preferred build/play-style.

So yeah, I hope the expand on what they already had, because it was good, but the fact that it was so limited, made the whole thing kind of superfluous.
