The millennial generation (the bulk of the video game and anime audience) are not all at a position to be leads and directors of movies

Comic book movies are good now because comic fans are at the helm at these movies now. Passion for the original content is what makes these movies great.

So my prediction is that well have actual well made anime and video game blockbuster hit movies in a decade. Detective pikachu is definitely a start.

Anyways, I really just want an attack on Titan live action HBO adaptation on the scale of game of thrones
