Felt like this deserved a thread of its own. It looks pretty good! Visually its super impressive but gameplay wise I feel like I won't be sure until I get my own hands on it. Even just in this vid I was wishing I was playing so I could have tried a few different things. Encounter design at least so far seems much more thoughtfully put together than we're used to with this franchise, so I'm hopeful!

Jedi Fallen Order looks a lot like God of War, especially how heavy the protag is if that makes any sense. Most Jedi games have you jumping and running around with crazy agility so he seems a little sluggish and clumsy in comparison. Reminds me a lot of new Kratos because he can't even jump compared to GoW1-3.

I mean honestly I think that's a good thing because the combat will be a lot tighter and the new GoW was great. Interesting to see a Star Wars game with slower combat, now just need to hope they can execute.

Yeah the pacing feels like it'll work with how they're setting up the encounters.

I will say I was disappointed because with the first Stormtroopers they made it look like they finally solved the issue that so many other games have had of the lightsaber feeling too weak by having it one shot and making you duel/clash in order to earn that single killing blow... but then immediately after they have a new enemy that takes multiple hits to kill.

I dont know about in a game but I definitely remember it happening in TCW if nowhere else. Probably some books before that too.
