Like I'm on my way out slowly but surely of modern gaming. It's evolving for sure. The Xbox game pass for pc is what made me realize the future of gaming is going to change drastically. Not this next Gen, but eventually. One day the only way to game will be through subscription based services. You'll never own anything and will be tricked into a cheap plan never wanting to stop gaming knowing you won't get your money's worth if you do.

I still dont get the hype for cyber punk. Lego games. Gears of War. Battlefield. Fortnite. Call of duty. Sports titles. Flight simulation. Top down shooters. Puzzle games of today. Games in general from indie developers or ones that look like mobile.

I think gaming is about to hit its peak and will have to change into something more cost productive for the studios.

They didn't waste 20 minutes showing off a Call of Duty campaign mission.
No sales charts and spreadsheets.
No talk about Netflix and Spotify and all these different apps or whatever.
No idiots on the stage dancing and waving motion controllers around.

It was pretty good. People forgot how bad the old E3s used to be.

Instead of getting realistic graphics pushing the hardware, we get all these cartoon or comic book designs.

Even new battletoads looks trash.

It's been bad. My concern is for what gaming is becoming.

New Xbox is called project scarlet due in 2020 Christmas time. Sounds like a beta name lol.

Can do up to 8k,120 fps. No price. No console to show off. Halo infinite trailer to launch with its own graphic style that doesn't show off the power of the next Xbox at all. Looks worse than halo 4.

Can't wait for Sony to do something.

There's nothing wrong with those.

What makes me feel old is this talk of 8k. Meanwhile I still use a 720 TV.

Except they should be indie or store titles only. Stagmar posted...

I use 4k, but gaming itself isn't even fully ready for 4k. Boasting about 8k capabilities is a marketing strategy that won't take place until maybe the end of next Gen since 8k tvs aren't even in average consumer price range. Antifar posted...

Think about other games than what I listed. There's a lot of them.

So only games with realistic graphics should be sold at retail?

I'll be fine with a digital only model only if the games are cheaper than they are now, or you only need to pay a once per month fee to access all of them. What I don't want is to still pay $60+ for each and every major game despite not truly owning any of them.

That's how it was during ps3 and 360 Era and below. Ps4 and xb1 embraced the indie and different art style graphic choices. Games like those don't account to full price. Certain games with the different art styles are great and all, but too much of a similar style is bad. That's what I've been noticing lately. These 2d indie games I really don't understand at all.

That would be worse if we had to pay $60 per game for a digital only Era, but then again there are always sales and discounts which makes it so much better than a $10 sub that puts you in a never ending addictive loop.

Nothing at e3 so far has been impressive. I'm a dragon ball fan and even that game is more of the same we've seen in other games.
