they specifically offered Steam keys in the backer survey, so at the very least, this is a violation of Kickstarter's rules

We've already had kickstarted games that promised Steam codes become Epic Games Store exclusives and I imagine the same will happen here as has for those games: There will be a listing on Steam that can only be purchased by code redemption
