I've been going to the gym mostly consistently for about 10.5 months now.
There was about a month and a half stretch where I couldn't go to the gym because I had my all 4 of wisdom teeth pulled and then my dad got really sick and passed away when I was mostly recovered from that. Had to drive from Austin, TX to Pensacola, FL twice - once to see him when he was in the hospital and then again for the funeral services a few weeks later. Other than that and an 8 day trip to Charleston, SC (worked out a bit and walked a ton during this trip), I've been pretty consistent with my gym schedule. I started out doing 3 days per week, but I've moved to 4 days per week in the past month or so. Since July 25th 2018 (start of Crossfit and proper diet), I've lost 151 pounds. Since April 1st 2018, I've lost 176 pounds (start of getting serious about losing weight) and I'm a LOT stronger than I used to be. We just had "Crossfit Football" day at the gym where we find our 1-rep maxes for 4 different lifts: Power clean, back squat, bench, and deadlift. Power clean: 145 Back squat: 245 Bench: 185 Deadlift: 305 I've never been able to lift this much in my life. I messed up on my diet on Friday when I went to see Dark Phoenix and gained some weight back, but overall I'm still in a really good spot. Especially when you compare to where I was 1 year ago. Gotta keep the progress going. I'll be taking a new badge picture when I lose another 24 pounds. I took a new one when I lost 100 pounds back in late November and I'm almost to the point of taking another one again. I could take another one now, but I've decided to do it in 100-pound increments. Then I'll probably take my final badge picture once I get down to the weight I want to stay at. April 1st 2018: 445 July 25th 2018: 420 June 10th 2019: 269 I'm in the best shape of my adult life and it feels good. Still got a while to go to be at an ideal weight, but I'm getting there. --- ... Damn bro, good shit. Awesome work. From what I've gathered, pretty much everyone is either: 1) Wondering what I'm doing and stops me to ask 2) Wondering what I'm doing, but trying to keep work professional and they don't want to ask I'm like a walking advertisement for the gym I go to at this point. A number of people have asked me to refer them, but I don't think anyone I've referred has joined the gym yet. I get it, though. It was soooo long before I actually got fed up enough with where I was at to actually do something about it. Then when you consider the fact that I'm a single guy with no family and a good amount of free time to do this, it kinda puts me in a good position to keep at it for an extended period of time. I have very few responsibilities overall. Work, apartment, car (paid off)... That's about it. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
