I just dont understand that. Its a racing game. Just make some cool tracks, a kickass soundtrack, throw in some online multiplayer and boom youre done.

It doesnt have to reinvent the wheel.

Just rerelease GX with HD graphics, online play, all AX content available, and easier ways to unlock the AX racers if they're still hidden.

The problem is that Miyamoto feels that he needs to reinvent the wheel.

I'm surprised people haven't noticed this yet with Nintendo. They may give it a chance like with kid icarus if they think it can succeed but if it doeasnt deliver then they're drop it and never look back.

F zero and Mario kart have differences. F zero may appeal to people not fans of Mario kart. Not that I think it would be a huge success mind you. Just saying it being the same genre shouldnt negate it.

Nintendo has had more than one platformer series before. Mario and warioland games. Which I wish warioland games got some more love. Always liked them more than Mario games.

That kind of proved his point. Both F-ZERO and Wario Land stopped getting games because their sales faltered while their more successful counterparts kept raking in the dough.

But at least Wario isn't completely dead outside of Mario spinoffs, as he has the WarioWare games.

And that said, Donkey Kong Country, Yoshi, and Kirby are still going on.

And even though MK8D is several years old, it matters, because an active online community leads to continuing sales. And it wouldn't make a lot of sense for Nintendo to spend money on competing with themselves.

Warioware games arent the same.... They are ok..

Mad I'll likely never get to play warioland shake it. See thats probably where they fucked up. Let Mario dominate on console let wario have handhelds.

Yeah i like playing as wario though that's why I vastly prefer warioland. Also just felt they where more fun and had more charm than Mario games.

But on bringing back a dead series im glad they gave kid icarus a shot. Loved uprising and in turn got me to buy the original and try it. All they gotta do is give it some new twist without changing it too much.

Are people comparing F-Zero and Mario Kart just because they are racers? Both games dont even play alike.

The argument that Nintendo shouldnt release both Mario Kart and F-Zero on the same console because theyre too similar or would compete with each other doesnt hold up when Sony just released Days Gone which is similar to The Last of Us. Yet, that game still sold very well.

Not even Nintendo used that excuse when asked about F-Zero.
