You gain the ability to selectively reduce your speed or that of anything you are touching(within reason, you aren't slowing something like the Earth <_<).

Some applications are gliding by jumping forward and slowing your falling speed while keeping your horizontal speed intact. Traveling super fast in one direction by slowing your speed relative to the surface of the Earth, so it spins out from under you. Being bullet proof by instantly reducing the speed of small objects to 0 relative to you on contact.

Hey, wouldn't this make you a really good EMT.

You can kind of put people needing medical attention in stasis until you can get them to a proper facility.

Maybe you can even use it to make certain kind of scientific observation possible that are otherwise too fast to be seen.

Go skydiving and base jumping without a parachute
Catch all kinds of stuff that otherwise would have landed on the floor

If it works on a super small scale:

Keep food cold without a fridge
Stay cool in summer
Lower the temperature near the thermostat at work so it kicks out more hot air
I'm sure there must be some advantage to making electric/electronic devices stop working but I got nothing, except for police radar guns I guess but I don't want to speed anyway and even if I did traffic wouldn't allow it.

Well, it would be more accurate to say the planet would just move away from you really quickly and you'd end up off of it.

Something like this, it would be stored so that when you decide to stop slowing something it can be unslowed.

i like the movement trick. i imagine it functioning like a teleport, but i'm not a physicist.

also, this made me google 'if you slow down light does it have mass?' further establishing my ineptitude.

you could make vaporwave with it.

if you fine-tuned this you could appear to have super strength. just punch someone and have the impact point slow them down just enough so they go flying like a modest 50 feet.

you could apply it to your thoughts and always have Combat Focus tm.

this is also poison immunity btw.

you could do stuff with metal by resonance frequency.

Well, it would be more accurate to say the planet would just move away from you really quickly and you'd end up off of it.

Just train yourself to have that be passive or if you haven't done that yet, throw up your slow armor when you think or know someone has a gun and might shoot you.
