Dead Rising Spoilers

In Dead Rising they reveal that the evil terrorist villain who caused the Zombie outbreak also rescued 50 war oprhans and helped them get adopted all over the US.

However they suspect that it's possible he may have also infected them with the Zombie virus and then given them a treatment so that the zombification process would be slowed.

As a result these kids could in theory become zombies at any time and destroy the US.

However for the sake of the moral dilema, let's say that we do not actually know if Carlito really has done this or not. It's simply possible that he may. And there's absolutely no way of knowing for sure until it's too late.

What would you do in this situation? How would you handle it?

Do they have records of the children? In the interest of the public, you're going to have to suspend their rights and round them up and keep them in a quarantine program to watch for signs of infection. Potentially for the rest of their lives.

I would turn the game off.

Assuming there is a record of them, capture them, isolate them from any possible escape, and study them. Going to suck for them, but not much can be done. If they're definitely infected and incurable, euthanize them. Otherwise, cure them if possible or let them go after enough time has passed that infection is ruled out. Even if you need to keep them for years, better safe than sorry.

If it's a time crunch kind of thing, then just kill them all and hope you didn't kill 50 people for nothing.

I don't know.

There is arecord of them in Dead Rising but it turns out in Dead Rising 3 that the "official records" were a lie to keep you off the scent of the real orphans.

So tell me what would you do if you did have a record and what you would do if you didn't

If I had records I would send federal agents to detain the children (probably adults now, yes?) in a facility where they can be under 24/7 surveillance to watch for signs of infection.

If I had no records and thus no way to find the war orphans, I'd pray to God that the evil asshole Carlito isn't as evil as I've been led to believe. And then I'd probably move to Iceland.
