on the surface they're both paid theme park MMOs

i get the feeling WoW has a more hardcore pvp scene

i also get the feeling that WoW's demographic skews a bit older

Wow is better for pvp

However, even hardcore fans have been hating the latest wow expac and left wow for ffxiv

Blizzard as a whole had been pissing off its fans

Ffxiv has only been getting better and better unless next expac in 2 weeks is bad but so far it looks amazing

But if pvp is all you want to do, go wow
Else go ffxiv

WoW is one of those games I think everyone should at least try at one point in their life, just to say they played it, but its best days are definitely behind it. at this point it's very much a "raid or die" type of game and i think it's not getting content as frequently as something like FF14.

For reference, blizzard literally tells their fans they are wrong

Ffxiv however tries its best to please them

Viera is an example

The dev team wanted to make lion people but worried than fans been asking for viera for along time

So they split up the new race development to give both, but at the cost of gender locks

Wow has people asking for high elves and blizzard basically trolls them about it

trust me i know all about it, i play overwatch 15 hours a week, that developer has the biggest fucking ego i've ever witnessed

FF14 is pretty damn fun but it's also the only MMO I've played

Are you interested in having a largely single player experience in an MMO? FF14 is for you. You only have to interact with people during dungeons, big boss fights, and raids. It has FF fanservice out the wazoo as well.

Also Shadowbringers is on the way so we're about to get some dope QoL changes

both games are garbage bro
