My gf wants to see a movie tonight and I've been interested in John wick for awhile but never got around to watching them yet. Would it be bad to see the 3rd one if u haven't seen the others

It'll definitely be enjoyable as an action movie, but part of the appeal is the weird world and "lore." You won't get lost or anything because the movie explains everything needed for the plot, but you lose some of the world building element and references from the first two.

Also it'll spoil the general plot of the first two movies obviously since that's part of the premise of the third

I did that with only a brief summary of the first two - certainly felt I missed some things regarding other characters and relations but Keanu Reeves killing a bunch of people doesn't need much else to at least be fun

I agree that a huge part of these movies is the world they've built and all the oddball lore that gives it so much charm. You'll miss all of that going in to 3 first so I'd definitely say to see the first two first. They're all great movies.

when they first say put your belt on the table its like ??? but then he busts it out like 3 more times throughout the movie and youre like i see
