Police in Toyama Prefecture have arrested as 52-year-old unemployed man on suspicion of killing a pet cat and believe he is responsible for killing at least 100 cats over the past 12 months.

According to police, Kenji Niimura was arrested Thursday on suspicion of picking up a cat from a street in Imizu City at around 1:30 p.m. on May 19. Police quoted Niikura as saying he lured the cat into his car with scraps of food, took it to his home in Toyama City where he killed it. He then disposed of the cats carcass in an irrigation ditch

Niimura, who has been charged with violating the Animal Welfare Act, has also admitted to stealing and killing at least 100 pet cats belonging to other people over the past 12 months, by scalding, beating or poisoning them, police said.

It's like how a serial killer starts with animals and then moves on to people except this guy never got the memo and just said fuck it I'm going all out on these animals.

I was uncomfortable with the pic I used in my previous topic. I thought it was inappropriate.

eh

A lot of crime in Japan is ignored or unreported so it's hard to get accurate figures.

Japanese have an issue with feeling as if they have no power in their daily lives. This causes some pretty severe mental issues.

The Japanese guy I talk to the most at work often talks about how hell be late because someone will throw themselves in front of a train on a line he takes to work (always in the morning because its when people go to work, rather than when people leave work). I probably experience the same thing, but I cant understand the announcements on the train.
