So why aren't they getting paid more? US mens teams always struggle getting past the prelims if they even make it that far. US womens team constantly wins world cups. What gives?

Yeah, people actually show up to watch US Women's Soccer. Like all of the top 10 US Women's most attended sporting events are the women's World Cup. It is because they win, of course.
