Right now I am: - Filing for unemployment - Figuring out COBRA - Updating my resume and turning my LinkedIn to actively looking Is there anything else you guys can help me with? My husband was miserable at his last company and it almost destroyed our marriage since he would pretty much take it out on me. When he got laid off, it was honestly a blessing. And thats the advice I gave him. To take his time and pick a job and place where he thinks he will be happy. He always has had gut feelings about the companies he will hate, so I told him to listen to those this time. He took 6 months and we took a little financial hit. Engineering is extremely oversaturated and its going to get worse. The vast majority of them suck and have shitty attitudes though. Now actual good engineers (very few) are worth their weight in gold. Fun fact: I design chemical processes and I dont have an engineering degree. I actually hand my designs off to an engineer to be the CAD monkey. I remember how arrogant TC used to be because he was an engineering student.
